Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is only 15 minutes from the Punta Cana and Cap Cana area, and some 30 minutes from Bávaro, El Cortecito, Arena Gorda, Macao and Uvero Alto hotel areas. This is the Caribbean airport with the largest diversity of flights from all around the world. Seaside resorts are a 10 to 40-minute drive from the airport. The airport has three terminals, all featuring its characteristic palm frond-thatched roofs.
Punta Cana International Airport is owned and operated by Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este, S.A. (CAE) (a private corporate international airport operated by Puntacana Resort & Club).
To enter the Dominican Republic, a valid passport with two blank pages is required. At the customs and immigration desk, you’ll receive a 30-day tourist card (US$10 cash fee) instead of a visa. By Dominican law, there’s also a US$20 departure tax, the cost of which is usually included in your airfare (verify with your carrier). Airport Special Security (CESAC) follows but is not limited to TSA guidelines.
Punta Cana International Airport Food Court offers familiar brands inside the terminals, with choices including Wendy’s, Sbarro, Nathan’s, Cinnabon, Segafredo’s, and Baskin-Robbins or have a drink at the Skybar.
The Dominican government tax must be paid when entering the country as tourists.
When departing the Dominican Republic you must pay a fee per stay and permission for underage in migration, according to the duration in the country, view rates.

If you are driving to the airport from the south take the main road until you reach Carretera Aeropuerto (Airport Road). From the north you will take the Boulevard Hotelero until you reach Carretera Aeropuerto (Airport Road).
