Secure transmission of card data
All information exchanged with our website travels over an encrypted connection using SSL/TLS (HTTPS). When you make a payment, you are redirected to the bank's secure payment page, where card details are entered directly on the acquiring bank's environment. Prestige never sees, processes, or stores your full card number, expiry date, or security code (CVV) on its own systems.
Payment processing & PCI-DSS
Card payments are processed by AZUL (Banco Popular Dominicano), our acquiring bank and payment gateway. Card data is handled under current PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements by the bank and its certified processors, which operate under their own encryption and privacy standards.
3D Secure authentication
Every eligible card transaction is protected by 3D Secure through Verified by Visa (Visa Secure) and Mastercard ID Check. During checkout, your card issuer may ask you to confirm the purchase with a one-time code or in-app approval. This extra authentication step helps confirm that the legitimate cardholder is making the payment and reduces the risk of unauthorized use.
Purchase currency
All card charges are billed in Dominican Pesos (RD$ / DOP) through the AZUL secure gateway.
